However, gene engineering-based subunit immersion vaccines offer a safe, efficient, and scalable immunization solution.

The Largemouth Bass Rhabdovirus (Micropterus Salmoides Rhabdovirus, MSRV) is a significant pathogen endangering largemouth bass aquaculture, capable of causing high mortality rates. Traditional control methods (such as disinfection and immunostimulants) have limited effectiveness. Gene engineering subunit immersion vaccines represent a novel immunization strategy, offering advantages such as safety, high efficiency, and ease of operation. They are suitable for large-scale aquaculture immunization, significantly reducing the economic losses caused by MSRV and promoting the sustainable development of the aquaculture industry.
